one of my favorite things when the holiday season is coming up, is planning everything… I know I sound crazy. I always feel like I have so much I want to do, I want to plan so that I don’t miss anything. So, for anyone else who wants to start planning to make the most of your December, here’s my to do pre-holiday list.
Make a list of anyone you’re buying gifts for and you’re gift ideas for them. If you’re on a budget you can add prices next to each item that way you know you’re not spending too much. Always keep an eye put for the best deals. Don’t forget to take advantage of free shipping, some stores will have free shipping during the season. And if there’s not, and you’re buying a lot of gifts, buy it at once so you can take advantage of the free shipping (if you spend x amount of $). ALWAYS make sure to order early that way you know your gifts will arrive on time.
Remember, not all gifts have to be expensive, I always love buying a few funny gifts for kicks and giggles. There are also tons of different DIY projects on pinterest if your having a hard time coming up with gift ideas.
2. Holiday Specials
There are so many good movies and christmas specials I love to watch during the holidays. Make a list of all your favorites so that you don’t miss any. If you want to take it another step further you can prioritize which ones you must watch and ones you won’t be disappointed missing. I know every now and then I get tired of a few movies and need a break before re watching.
Take a look at all the Christmas decor you have. It’s always good to have an idea of what you have so, that if you see something you like when shopping, you’re not rebuying; and you know just what you’re looking for. It’s always fun to take a look at pinterest to see for some new inspiration in case you want to switch things up or add to what you have.
4. Planning Activities
Everyone has their traditions or fun activities they love doing this season. Make a list of everything you want to do so you can plan accordingly. It can be anything from a party, going out to see christmas lights, baking, crafts, movie night and more.
If you don’t have a Christmas playlist already, now is the time to put one together! That way you can listen to all your favorites on loop without searching everytime.
