I’d Be a Bad Liar If I Said I Wasn’t Obsessed with This New Music|Music Monday #6

Within the past couple weeks these artists have released amazing songs that have me hooked. Take a look at my favorites as well as some fun behind the music facts.

1. R5

R5 is back with new music that you will love. This is an EP you will love in its entirety. They have been working hard on their own to make music they love. In a recent interview Rocky said “When other people produce songs for us, they’re always a product of them putting together notes. When we do it, it has more feeling and has something more to it.” Ross added “We know who we are and what we want to make.”  The first four tracks are amazing originals and “Need You Tonight” is an amazing cover of INXS.

2. Camila Cabello

After a listen to Camila’s debut songs after leaving Fifth Harmony, you will be obsessed. They are amazing! “Crying in the Club” is great and heavily reminds me of Sia (the song was co written by Sia) and also lighly samples “Genie in a Bottle” from Christina.  “I Have Questions” is a vulnerable song. When making her upcoming album, “the hurting the healing the loving,” Camila had to draw from deep emotions. When making “I Have Questions,” she said “I couldn’t write another song for six months because writing meant i had to feel everything.”

3. Liam Payne

Liam makes his solo debut with “Strip That Down,” a fun song you’ll instantly. In the song Liam says “Used to be in 1D, now I’m out free.” It had many fans shocked but Liam assured everyone in a z100 interview it was simply meant that now everyone can explore their own music, and that he meant no harm. Rest assured Liam says 1D are just on hiatus, but he’s loving working on his own music!

4. Selena Gomez

Selena returns to the music scene with a different sound with her new single “Bad Liar”, which sampled the beginning of the song “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads. After a few listens you’ll be hooked!
